Well done and thank you to all who contributed to our Intercultural Celebrations for 2020. We were so happy to see your fantastic projects, beautiful art, fabulous food, colours and costumes. We loved hearing music and stories from other lands and listening to you speaking the languages of your homes. It is clear that you are very proud of your heritage and the counties, countries and cultures that are part of your story. The Padlet Wall and Gallery of Curiosities are both a really great record of Intercultural Week 2020. We look forward to  celebrating again in 2021 - Many Cultures, One Community, Working, Learning and Growing Together.

The Little Museum of Dublin is a fantastic spot you might be able to check out with your families later in the Summer. They have some lovely activities  to encourage you to explore the heritage of your city and I have attached them for you.

If you would like to learn more about the EU over the long weekend check out some fun activities here:

I hope you are enjoying the wonderful weather and that you get to spend some quality time with your family over the Bank Holiday. There will be a break from the schoolwork until Wednesday, June 3rd so try to spend plenty of time outdoors. Ask your parents to teach you a game from their childhood, play rounders or hopscotch, ride your bike or scooter, build a fort, go for a long walk with your family, have a picnic in your garden or nearby park.

Maybe in the evenings you could play some card games with your family. There are some good ones here: https://www.kidspot.com.au/things-to-do/kids-games/indoor-play/snap-12-classic-card-games-to-teach-the-kids/news-story/1d153893aee53908749c1377c588928c

Cruinniú na nÓg is going online this year with hundreds of activities for children and young people on June 13th. Check it out and see if there’s anything you would like to register for.  https://cruinniu.creativeireland.gov.ie/

Keep up the great work boys and girls. We miss you so much but we are very proud of you. Remember to spread kindness with your words and actions. These are some videos that remind us that simple words and acts of kindness can make a big difference.
