Dear parents,
As you may have heard by now, the government has made a decision to close all schools and colleges from today until Monday the 30th March as part of a series of measures to contain the spread of Covid-19. We will keep parents updated via the school App in relation to any further information we receive.
Much of our learning is a hands on experiential process so children will bring home limited pen and paper activities. We will however post information on the app in relation to educational activities that children can engage with during the closure.
The words of the Minister for Education and Skills this morning seem very appropriate: ‘Ar scáth a chéile a mhaireann na daoine – we all live in one another’s shadow. If there was ever a time for us to appreciate how closely we are connected, how much what we do matters to others, how much we rely on each other, this is it. This is a time where we all need to work together for the best possible outcome for our students.’

The attached Social Story may help if your child is anxious over the coming weeks.
We wish all of our children, staff and families well in this unprecedented time of challenge. Stay safe, take care and look out for each other.
Yours Sincerely,
Alma Moran & Enda McGorman
