Hi everyone! I just shared this rainy-day activity with my Senior Infants class, and thought some other classes might like it too. It’s a step-by-step drawing video on how to draw a very cute giraffe, and the link is at the bottom of this post! I am not very Connie Confident when I draw, so I like to build my confidence by practicing with these videos.
I have said to my class that we can watch the video and draw the giraffe over the next few days or at the weekend, and on Monday I am going to share my finished giraffe on my Padlet wall. Anyone else in my class who would like to share their finished drawing can do the same! Maybe you would also like to watch the video, draw your giraffe, and share what you drew on your own Padlet wall. My class did this before with a step-by-step video on how to draw a dinosaur, and it was so much fun. All of the dinosaurs looked different and special.
If you decide to draw with the video, just pause it as much as you like to give yourself time to draw. I pause it every time the pen lifts off the page!
Remember to only use the drawing materials you already have in your house. I am just going to use a black writing pen, and the back of one of my colouring sheets because I don’t have any plain paper!

Happy drawing and hopefully see your drawings next week!
