Hi boys and girls,
I hope you are all keeping safe at home with with your family, looking out for each other and taking care of one another.
This week we would have been holding our Whole School Art Exhibition. Every child would have a piece of their own personal art displayed for all their classmates, family and teachers to admire. Art allows us the opportunity explore and express our creativity.
At this difficult time we all know of parents, family members, neighbours and friends working on the frontline to help protect us and keep us safe. We are extremely grateful to all of these selfless individuals. James Connolly is our closest hospital and we know many members of our community work there. In place of our Art Exhibition this year we are inviting all 1st & 2nd Class children to use their individual creativity to design or make a poster or card to thank all members of our hospital staff and to show our appreciation for all they have done and continue to do.
Remember to do your best work, add a thank you note to your picture and send it to Niamh O’ Sullivan, Palliative Care Team, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15. Alternatively Mum or Dad could take a picture of your work and email it to niamh.osullivan4@hse.ie
Many thanks to Niamh, Darragh & Cian’s Mum for suggesting this lovely idea and to Ms Naughton who coordinates the area of Visual Art and our Art Exhibition . We are looking forward to running our school Art Exhibition at another time.
