We held our annual Active Schools Week from the 19th - 23rd of June. It was a jam packed week with activities galore! We had some visitors from Ongar Chasers who came in to do some really fun basketball training with us. A tennis coach, Paddy, worked alongside Ms. Jones to help us get better with the racket and ball skills. We had parent volunteers from Erin Go Bragh to do some GAA training. Our GAA coach, Paul, organised a football blitz. Parents did their bit too by going on a parent walk and by taking part in a parent fitness class.
Sports Day was midweek and despite a very rainy start, we got out into the sunshine in no time to enjoy the fabulous fun that is Sports Day in Mary Mother of Hope JNS. We took part in activities such as uni-hoc, basketball, tennis, badminton, soccer, potato & spoon relays, orienteering, water relays, jigsaw relays, yard games, parachute, obstacle course, yoga, welly throwing and lots more. It was a great success!
