We are aware of the many challenges posed to different families while the schools are closed. Some of you will be trying to manage school work at home while also caring for younger siblings, others will be trying to work from home and also care for and guide your children through a day of activities while others will be calling on family and friends to help out. Our teachers have been busy planning suggested activities for each class level which we will share with you in the morning. The picture below shows a suggested outline for a day at home. The boys and girls are used to following the routine of a busy school day - in most classes they follow a visual timetable for the day so that the children can see what is coming next. Why not start the day tomorrow by coming up with a similar plan for the day with your child? If you can include them in the process they will hopefully buy into it with you. Breaks and down time are important as well as keeping the balance between learning, active work, screen time and creative play. Remind the boys and girls that Oscar Organisation likes to plan for things and that is exactly what we are suggesting they do for their days at home. We hope that everyone is keeping well and staying in touch with each other via WhatsApp and other messaging platforms. Please make sure to keep a close eye on the app for updates and news.
