Our Third Green Flag Award
We are very please to announce that we have been awarded our third Green Flag for Water Conservation. We were joined by Karen Moore from An Taisce on Friday, October 21st 2016 at our whole school assembly to celebrate. We are currently working towards our fourth Green Flag Award. Our fourth Green Flag is for Travel and we are already well on the way to success as so many of us walk, scoot or cycle to school already.
Our Green Schools Flag Award

In 2012 we were awarded our first Green Schools Flag Award. In September 2012, we held a flag raising ceremony which was attended by the boys and girls in our school, members of our Board of Management and parent body, Mayor of Fingal Cian O'Callaghan and Trish Kennedy from An Taisce Green Schools.
Our Green Schools Committee is made up of boys and girls in 1st and 2nd Class, teachers and ancillary staff. The committee help to encourage all classes to reduce, reuse and recycle waste. We are currently working towards our second Green Schools Flag which is awarded to schools who reduce energy consumption.
